“My work is inspired by everyday life, nature, and the observation of human behavior. By using and combining these elements, I create stories that evolve, form, and ultimately ‘imprint’ themselves during the creative process. Besides being a form of self-reflection, they are also a way to reach and connect with a broader audience. As a sculptor, working with materials such as marble, clay, and wood helps me develop each story in a unique way—though clay is always what attracts me the most. Through these materials, I connect with nature and the body, drawing inspiration from the rich history and tradition they embody. Based on the concept of the totem, I have ‘built’ animal-like clay sculptures that reflect various experiences, situations, and facets of my life. These sculptures rarely share the same form. Their characteristics change, intertwine, and complement each other, ‘growing’ along with me.”

The selection of ceramic sculptures presented in this exhibition is a blend of emotions in the form of creatures. The objects introduce the presence of psychological fluctuations, though they appear solid and distinctly defined. Their juxtaposition, along with their weight and stability, can be read as something that, although it has passed, remains as a personal experience and memory. The different sizes, colors, and shapes individualize each object, creating a very personal new world within which animistic beings ‘reside.’ Despite their differences, they are connected by something clearly cohesive and ultimately communicate with one another. Sometimes, the outcome is inspired by memory, while at other times, reality intrudes formally into the final works, as seen— for example— in the hands, suggesting that something is still present, intertwining the momentary with the eternal.
